Smart Route uses the official WireGuard for Windows client to build its split-tunnel. The BRUTAL Optimizer installer sets WireGuard up for you if it isn’t already installed, so there is usually nothing extra to do.
Steps
- Open Smart Routing. Click the Smart Routing icon in the app’s left rail. If WireGuard is missing (for example, you removed it after installing BRUTAL), the page offers Install WireGuard now.
- Check your plan. Measuring your route is free for everyone. Engaging a relay needs Ultra (everything in Pro, plus Smart Route, ₹899 a year), and the page says so up front. You can get Ultra here.
- Launch your game. Smart Route detects the running game and its server automatically, and shows the detected server and your direct ping.
- Press “Test my route.” It measures the direct path and the relay path, then engages the relay only if it measures faster — otherwise it stays direct and tells you.
- Stop any time. Stop — back to direct returns you to your direct route immediately. Smart Route also switches back on its own if the relay stops being faster.
Smart Route runs with the app’s existing administrator rights and the signed WireGuard adapter — no driver of ours. It only routes your game’s server traffic, so your other apps stay on your normal connection the whole time.

Which games does it work with?
Titles in Smart Route’s server-fed game catalogue. Every title is classified for ban-safety by its anti-cheat, and titles with kernel anti-cheat, or an anti-cheat we have not verified, are manual-only, so you decide. It says “staying direct” — is something wrong?
No — that’s Smart Route being honest. It measured your direct route as already faster than (or equal to) the relay, so it left you on it. A relay only helps when your ISP’s path is genuinely worse.
