What is Smart Route?

Smart Route reroutes your game’s network traffic through a nearby relay — but only when it measures that the relay is genuinely faster than your internet provider’s default path. When your connection is already good, it says so and stays on your direct route. It only switches when the relay measures faster, and it never promises a fixed improvement.

It lives in the Smart Routing section of the app and is part of the Ultra plan (everything in Pro, plus Smart Route, ₹899 a year). Measuring your route is free for everyone; engaging a relay needs Ultra.

How it decides

1. Detect the real server. It reads the actual game-server address your session is talking to, from Windows’ own network telemetry — no injection.
2. Measure both paths. It times your direct route and the route through the nearest relay — median ping, jitter and packet loss — side by side.
3. Route only if it wins. If the relay is genuinely faster or materially steadier, it engages a WireGuard split-tunnel for just that game’s traffic. If not, it stays direct and tells you. It re-checks and reverts if the advantage disappears.

Why it’s different from a “gaming VPN”

Tools like ExitLag, WTFast and NoPing route your traffic through their network and promise lower ping. Smart Route measures first and shows you the before-and-after, so you can see whether it actually helped — and it does the honest thing and stays direct when it can’t. It also generates its keys on your device, names its real relays instead of a phantom count, and comes bundled with the full optimizer.
